A 60-year-old man in South Korea was cleared of DUI charges after a court couldn't prove if he was drunk while driving. After being pulled over by police, the man drank a whole bottle of soju (rice wine, typically 12.5% ABV) within 39 seconds of stepping out of his car. Although his blood alcohol level was over the legal limit when tested 40 minutes later, the court ruled it was impossible to determine if he was drunk while driving, stating the decision couldn't be based on speculation.
