Luxury Polish Potato Perfume Being Sold For $185

Smells like it's going to be a beautiful day

A Polish cosmetics company, Bohoboco, has launched a unique perfume inspired by the founder’s childhood memories of going to local markets in Poland. Named "Polish Potatoes," the $185 perfume smells of potatoes, beetroot, wheat, grass, leather, and pine. Founder and creative director Michał Gilbert Lach, says the scent is a throw back to the market days when local farmers sold their crops, especially the “golden treasures of the Polish countryside” — potatoes.

Lach describes his memories of the market as "magical." He adds that the earthy smell of potatoes, still damp with morning dew, inspired the perfume's core notes. Lach’s goal has always been to capture the scents of his childhood in his perfumes. This potato-scented fragrance joins his other creations, such as wild carrot, red wine, and sea salt caramel.

Bohoboco, founded in 2016, has gained global recognition and was shortlisted in the prestigious FiFi Awards, often called the "Oscars of the fragrance industry." Bohoboco’s perfumes are sold internationally and online
