Like so many things these days, going out to dinner is expensive, and no one knows this better than singles. No one wants to spend $100 on a meal with someone they’re not even sure they like yet, which is why some daters are ditching the fancy restaurants in favor of more laid-back, and more affordable options.
Casual dating can mean casual dining and new research highlights the top choices for those meals.
- A new survey from DatingNews.com asks 3-thousand American men which fast food restaurants they’d take a woman on a first date.
- Their favorite budget-friendly option? Chick-fil-A, which daters in 31 states name as their go-to fast food date spot.
- But most women don’t seem to mind dining at a fast food chain, with 66% saying they’re okay with a guy asking them on a first date at someplace like McDonald’s.
- For 41%, as long as the venue has good vibes and their date wants to have fun, they’re all in.
- Around 40% of women say they’d be more willing to accept a date at the drive-thru if the person was just up front and honest about their budget.
- And some don’t even need food to be a part of a date, with 26% saying they’d be fine with just getting coffee while getting to know each other.
